Leigh-Ann J. Webb, MD, MBA

is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine practicing at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine. Leigh-Ann completed her BS.Ed in Sports Medicine at UVA in 2005 and her Medical Degree at UVA in 2009. She completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at University of Chicago in 2012 where she served as Chief Resident of International Transport and received awards for Humanism and the 2012 Resident of the Year award. After residency, she went on to serve thousands of patients at various academic institutions: Wake Forest, New York Presbyterian- Columbia University Medical Center, University of Maryland, and now UVA. Last year she completed her MBA at UVA's Darden School of Business and was recognized as one of the "2019 Best and Brightest EMBAs" by Poets and Quants. As a medical educator, she teaches medical students how to listen and examine patients from their first weeks as medical students through the fourth year. She on the teaching team for the Medical Design Thinking Program. She marries her love of empathy, innovation, and action by serving on the Emergency Medicine Research Office's Data Action Team where she helps link data to actionable operations that make a difference in patient outcomes. She founded The Get-Well Company in 2019 as a way to help others use empathy, innovation and collective action to promote equity and revolutionize the illness experience. Webb currently serves as Senior Medical Affairs Consultant for Massachusetts based biotech company Rubix LS.
